Nusa Dua Boatworks We are an Indonesian boatbuilding company operating out of Bali bringing over 65 years of combined boatbuilding, boat repair, offshore and inshore yachting and power boating experience under one roof. Originally founded 18 years ago the company was aquired in 2008 and restructured into the company it is today. We are proud of the fact that Nusa Dua Boatworks is a foreign investment PT-PMA company legally established in Indonesia that will adhere to all national laws relating to general business practices, government taxes, and labor laws. Our Mission Building upon past successes, The Nusa Dua Boatworks Team aims to build the highest-quality and highest-performing FRP composite Sailing Yachts, Power Yachts, and Small Boats in Southeast Asia. We focus our undivided attention toward durability, craftsmanship, and detail in every build, whether we are building a small production racing dinghy or a 20 meter charter catamaran. We believe in a TEAM approach to design, production, and all our business affairs where everyone in the process has a voice and no question or idea is looked down upon. We believe with this approach we will achieve the best results in everything we endeavour to achieve from initial client relations through to boat commissioning and warranty. At the very core of our business we believe in honesty and integrity in our relationships with our clients, our suppliers, our staff, and each other. We trust that our constant search for truth, whether relating to technology, business practices, or people, will always produce a win-win outcome in the end for everyone involved.
Our Team

			Rob Arrand - Managing Director / C.E.O. Rob is from the Western U.S.A. and has over 30 years of dinghy and offshore racing experience and has owned and messed around in large and small boats just as long. Rob comes from a very practical hands-on construction family. On top of his practical experience he has obtained three University Degrees in Design and Construction Technologies and has also taught at the university level. Rob has a passion for boat design and construction and is ‘self taught’ in both disciplines. Rob has worked in boatyards and in the corporate world as well as owning his own design-build company in Southern California before coming to live in Indonesia in 2004.

			Les O'Donnell - C.O.O. / I.T. / Accounts Les is from Victoria in South Eastern Australia relocating to Bali in 2010 bringing with him over 15 years experience in the Marine Industry from Stock Control and Costing through to high level Operations Management. Beginning in the Marine Industry in the early nineties Les also has had a lengthy career in Programing and Software Engineering. Les joined the N.D.B. Team in 2011 developing work flow systems, setting up the companies E.R.P. software, and training the staff in the methods of correct business practice.

			David Harry - Technical Consultant / Shareholder David comes from Texas where everything is bigger than Ben Hur. He surfs like a madman and tinkers around with electric motors and environmentally concious concept planing catamarans. When he is not wearing cool hats, hanging ten at green bowl or ripping up a 3 metre swell at Uluwatu, David is assisting the team at NDB with his engineering excellence.

			Hasan - Team Supervisor Service / Manufacture. Hasan is from Sumbawa and has worked on modern boats with the N.D.B. Team for 14 years. He is an expert in W.E.S.T. Systems and has a very well rounded knowledge of all types of FRP Composite construction and woodworking from major layouts to precision teak decking. Hasan supervises our entire team liaising between the office, logistics and the factory floor keeping the team organised and motivated while continually passing on his knowledge and experience.

			Ferdy - Accounts and Supply Chain Ferdy is from Roti Island, Nusa Tengarra Timur and came over to work with Rob and the N.D.B Team in 2009. Since joining the team Ferdy has been operating in Logistics and managing the supply chain for the Service and Manufacturing departments. In logistics he has been running the day to day accounts and managing the supply flow using the proven J.I.T. (Just in Time) supply method.

			Supri - Team Foreman Manufacture Supri is from East Java. Supri is a 20-year veteran of the company. He is an expert in layout from lofting thru to strip planking and finishing. He offers our TEAM a very broad range of experience and skill and is always training his younger TEAM members.

			Wandi - Team Foreman Steel Shop. Wandi joins us from Java and is a master steel fabricator and perfectionist, Wandi has been working with the team for over 8 years and can build virtually anything in Stainless Steel. He has built everything from complex canopy systems to complete steering systems for eighty foot sailing catamarans. He is the all around ‘systems guy’ at Team N.D.B. and is always ready to tackle a new challenge.

			Nardy - Manufacture and Fibreglass Specialist. Nardy is from East Java and has been building boats with the N.D.B. Team for 8 years. Nardy is a fibreglass specialist and has been working in the Maufacturing department as well as assisting in Servicing as required.

			Hendra - Supply and Logistics Hendra is from Sumbawa and has been with the N.D.B. Team for the last two and a half years. Sourcing materials locally and from Java Hendras time is split between sourcing and Ordering to being on the road performing pick ups and deliveries to keep the supply chain moving.

			Kuncir - Service Technician Kuncir is from nearby Lombok and is one of the newest members of our N.D.B Team. Although being with the team only a short time Kuncir is specialising in fairing and paint preparation and is under our NDB Apprenticeship Program. Our senior staff members are working closely with Kuncir instructing and perfecting his skill sets.
